According to the most authoritative and comprehensive review of published studies looking at the relationship between diet and cancer, consming red meat, especially processed red meat like bacon and hot dogs, is a “convincing” risk factor for colon cancer. For best results, avoid processed red meats and otherwise limit your red meat consumption to two servings or less a week.
